As LTR team members were assisting a neighbor, they met Mr. Willie Nix in 2019. Willie had retired from Covenant Hospice after years of service and was raising two active grandsons, ages 6 and 8.
The Nix home needed extensive repairs, so Chipola Baptist Association (CBA) provided a travel trailer for them to move into until the home could be recovered.
Unfortunately, due to COVID, the project was delayed and the family lived in the camper for over a year. However, AC HarvestCall took on the Nix project in early 2020, and recently welcomed the family home! North Florida Inland LTR coordinated resources from CBA, Innovative Charities of NWFL, The Salvation Army, HarvestCall, and Tri-County Community Council.
